21 Days Comprehensive Uganda Safari Highlights

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda.

Upon your arrival at the Entebbe Airport, You will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your accommodation facility.

Day 2: Kampala To Jinja.

Early morning drive to Jinja, the source of the Nile.

Stopover at the Ssezzibwa Falls and at the Mabira Forest.

Afterwards, continue to the source of the Nile, where you can ride on the boat to a nearby island and return before dawn or spend a night there.

Day 3: Jinja – Sipi Falls.

Half day of adventure!

Enjoy the morning going rafting, quad biking or bungee jumping.

In the afternoon, a visit to Elgon and Sipi falls is planned.

Day 4: Sipi Falls.

Early morning breakfast and hike to the Sipi falls, a series of three tall falls plugging along the lower slopes of mountain Elgon.

Hike through the local farms on a trail of about 7km. This guarantees you a spectacular view of the cultivated slopes of Mountain Elgon. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Sipi Falls –Murchison Falls National Park.

Breakfast and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Depending on the time we set off, we could have a picnic lunch en route before entering Murchison Falls National Park and spend the day there.

Day 6: Game Drive Murchison Falls & boat cruise on the Nile.

Early morning game drive in the northern part of Murchison Falls National Park with a chance to spot lions, buffalos and more.

In the afternoon, take a launch cruise along the Nile, taking you to the bottom of the falls.

There, you might be lucky to spot hippos, crocodiles & more...

Day 7: Murchison falls National Park – Hoima.

Catch one last look at the beautiful Murchison falls National Park and its awesome wildlife. If you did not get a chance to visit the top of the falls we can drive there this morning before we continue to Hoima for our dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Hoima – Kibale Forest National Park.

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, home to the largest population of primates in East Africa.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk.

After breakfast, start the day in the park’s headquarters for a briefing and later, continue on your way into the Forest led by an experienced guide to encounter the chimpanzees and other primates. You may also spot many different butterflies and birds.​

Day 10: Kibale- Rwenzori.

Base camp: Arrival day from your previous destination to the base camp to be welcomed by Ruboni community camp staff. Walk in the village and in the nearby forest.

Ruboni camp is the ideal place to embark on the natural and cultural adventure of a lifetime. Visitors are often able to spot one of these brightly coloured birds in the forest canopy, and Ruboni expert guides will be able to point out other species such as bee-eaters, sunbirds and even the three-horned chameleons that are only found in Rwenzori.

Day 11: Rwenzori – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park, the park with the largest species diversity.

Follow the mountain ranges, with a stopover at the Equator and continue to the park. You may spot a few animals as you transfer to your respective accommodation for the next two nights.

Day 12: Game Drive And Boat Cruise On the Kazinga Channel.

Early-morning game drive, where you may see lions herds of elephants, antelopes and many more.

In the afternoon, join us for a boat ride to see hippos, elephants and many others.

Day 13: Ishasha Sector

Transfer to the remote south side of the Queen Elizabeth Park, the Ishahsa sector, which is famous for being able to encounter the King of the Jungle up close.

Day 14: Ishahsa – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Early morning wake up to the peaceful wilderness.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Drive through the Switzerland of East Africa with its winding roads and terraced hills and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking

With your packed lunch, cameras, water, rain jackets, long pair of trousers and hiking boots, you will assemble for briefing at the park headquarters.

Afterwards, enter the impenetrable forest in search of the Mountain Gorillas.

You are allowed an hour with them, which is the most thrilling experience of a lifetime.

Return to the lodge thereafter and depending on the time and the ability, you could either do a nature walk or community walk in the afternoon.

Day 16: Bwindi – Kisoro.

Transfer to Kisoro Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

The Forest hosts a number of apes and primates, including the famous Mountain Gorillas.

There is also a possibility of hiking the dormant volcano.

Day 17: Kisoro.

After breakfast, we will continue into the ancient forest in search of the rare golden monkeys., but may also find many plants and primates, as well as birds including some of the Albertine Endemics.

Moreover, the forest has a rich cultural history together with its former habitats, the Batwa, who can tell you its stories.​

Day 18: Lake Bunyonyi.

Transfer to the magnificent Lake Bunyonyi.

After a strenuous trek, this is a perfect spot to unwind.

Enjoy the pictorial scenery of the Dotted Island.

You could take a boat trip to a few surrounding islands, swim, or try your hands at paddling.

Retire to a silent night overlooking this wondrous beauty.

Day 19: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park.

Take your time to wake and take in the scenes and beauty around you whilst having breakfast.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park through the ever-green scenery all the way to the park, popular for its zebras.

Relax at the lodge, before taking a boat cruise on Lake Mburo in order to spot some crocodiles, hippos and birds.

Day 20: Lake Mburo – Kampala.

Wake up to the whispers of the wild and enjoy a hearty breakfast.

After going on a game drive, you start your trip back to Kampala via Mbarara town.

Stopover at the equator and at Mpigi, the royal drum maker, where you can watch the royal drums being crafted.

Day 21: Departure

Depending on your flight time you may take a city tour and visit the craft shops to buy a few souvenirs, before transferring to the airport to catch your flight.
