Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is situated alongside the border with Congo DR in Western Uganda. The National Park is home to half of the world's population of mountain gorillas - in total, more than 400 gorillas call the Bwindi National Park their home. It can only be accessed by foot to protect the natural habitat, flora and fauna and to avoid disturbance towards those beautiful animals. Besides the mountain gorillas, 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds and various butterflies, frogs, chameleons and geckos live in the park.
Due to the elevation of the National Park, the vegetation displays a rare combination of plain and mountain forests and is also home to threatened and rare plant species like the brown mahogany.
Come and visit Bwindi National Park for a once-of-a-lifetime experience with mountain gorillas, unique rainforests and diverse wildlife encounters.
